Paula Radcliffe bitten by dog on training run
First there was the spider bite that threatened Paula Radcliffe’s participation at the Beijing Olympics. Now a dog has sunk its teeth into the leg of the accident-prone marathon world record-holder, sending her calf muscle into painful spasm and requiring immediate hospital treatment.

The incident happened while Radcliffe, 37, was out on a training run on Friday morning near her home in Monaco.
Radcliffe, who is working to get back to full fitness following the birth of her son Raphael in September, revealed details of the dog attack using the Twitter website.
She wrote: “Spent part of the morning at the hospital after being bitten by a dog! Luckily it’s not too bad, felt much worse as my calf went into spasm.”
