French triple jumper Teddy Tamgho banned for fight with female athlete

Triple jumper Teddy Tamgho has been banned from competition for six months by France's athletics federation because of a training camp fight with a female athlete.

Tamgho, 22, was involved in an altercation with a female athlete, whose name has not been revealed, in southern France this October.
The World indoor triple jump champion will miss the chance to retain his indoor title in Istanbul from March 9-11. But Tamgho will be eligible to compete in next year's Olympics, which commence in July.
