Lolo Jones: I’m running track for a medal, not to get famous like a sex tape girl

The amount of attention Lolo Jones received leading up to and during the Olympics irritated a number of people. Lolo failed to win a medal, yet she was easily the most popular female track-and-field star in London because she has an outgoing personality and was open about being a virgin. However, Jones insists that she could have found much more efficient ways to capture the public’s attention if that were her only goal.

“I’m not running track to be the most famous person,” Jones explained during an interview with KCCI in Des Moines. “If I wanted to do that, I would totally do a Kim Kardashian or Snooki. I’d do a sex tape or something like that if I wanted fame. I’m running track to get a medal, so if I had that medal, that would make me content.”
