2012 chiefs 'committed' to affordable ticketing

London 2012 organisers remain "absolutely committed" to offering millions of affordable tickets to events at the Olympic and Paralympic Games, despite refusing to be drawn on setting a specific pricing strategy.
London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) chief executive Paul Deighton told the Culture, Media and Sport select committee that it was too early to say how much tickets will cost.
Responding to a question from Conservative MP Philip Davies, Deighton revealed that organisers were unable to reaffirm a promise of making 4.3 million tickets available for less than £20 a ticket due to a changing programme of events.
