Bolt Injured and Out Until Mid-JunePublished by
Jamaican Star Deals with Foot InjuryBy Scott Bush World record holder and Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt is currently dealing with a foot injury, keeping him out of competition until mid-June at the earliest. According to French newspaper L'Equipe, Bolt's undergoing treatment in Germany, while still able to train. Bolt's agent Ricky Simms reports Bolt plans to compete in the June 17 track and field meet in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Bolt's injury most likely means the Jamaican superstar won't compete in either domestic Diamond League meet, the Prefontaine Classic May 30-May 31 and the adidas Grand Prix on June 14. It also means he will not compete for Team Jamaica at the IAAF World Relay Championships, May 24-25.
