International Talent Headed to Speed River InfernoPublished by
Speed River Inferno Attracts 20 OlympiansPublished by Guelph Mercury on May 22, 2015 A total of 20 Olympians are entered to compete in next Saturday's Speed River New Balance Inferno Track and Field Festival at Alumni Stadium. The list of Olympians includes the host Speed River Track and Field Club's Alex Genest and Taylor Milne. Genest is to compete in the featured New Balance men's 3,000-metre steeplechase while Milne is to run in the Running Room men's 1,500 metres. The Speed River Physiotherapy men's 800 metres features an international field with four Olympians. They are Cubans Andy Gonzalez and Raidel Acea, Moise Joseph of Haiti and Julius Mutekanga of Uganda. Anthony Romaniw of the host club is entered in the event as well as Richard Jones, Duncan Phillips and Lucas Manring of the U.S., Aaron Evans of Bermuda and Sean Obinwa of Nigeria and Canadians Alex Ullman and Corey Bellemore.
