A revelation of the season for Austrian athletics has been the hurdler, Beate Schrott, who has had a prolific year beginning with a fine seventh in the world indoor championships in Istanbul off the back of two national records of 8.12 in Karlsruhe before following that up six days later with 8.02 in Vienna.
