Let's say that, coming out of college, you were already one of the best in the country at your chosen profession. It would be easy -- even logical to stay where you were comfortable and had had so much success so young. You could keep working with the people who had helped you reach your early lofty status, keep the routine you knew and had no reason to question, keep spending you our free time with your friends and fiancee. 



Or you could upend everything. You could get a new boss, new co-workers, a new scope of work. You could move to a location where you know no one, where you're low man on the totem pole, where you would describe yourself as being "four or five hours from anything resembling civilization." You would do this in the hope that a total transformation of your life might one day years from now, if ever allow you to be not one of the best in the country at your job, but one of the  best in the world. What would you do?
