According to Ohio news outlet WLWT, Cincinnati, Los Angeles and Houston are the three finalists to host the 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials. It is assumed that the Flying Pig Marathon, which ranks as one of the largest marathons in the United States, is a key part of Cincinnati's bid.

USATF visited Cincinnati on Thursday, with remaining visits to be made to both Houston, the 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials host, and Los Angeles.
