Ethiopian long-distance great looks to continue his comeback at the Bupa Great Manchester RunFollowing his victory at the Bupa Great North Run last September and 2:05 marathon debut in Paris last month, Kenenisa Bekele will look to continue his winning ways at the Bupa Great Manchester Run on May 18. In the latest issue of AW, the three-time Olympic champion on the track reveals his marathon ambitions. “The world marathon record is on my hunting list,” he explains. When the Ethiopian lines up in Manchester for his first ever 10km in Britain he will be joined by the man that owns that current world record mark, Kenya’s Wilson Kipsang. In the video below Bekele discussed his win at the Great North Run, his views on Mo Farah and Wilson Kipsang and his preparations for the Bupa Great Manchester Run.
